This is a 3 part lesson for teaching Rondo Form in the General Music Class Grades 2 and 3.
Part I presents a listening lesson of The Viennese Musical Clock by Zoltan Kodaly.
Part II presents a worksheet for students to create an original speech and rhythm rondo using a an existing chant about breakfast combined with original presentation of foods students might eat at breakfast time. Students will create rhythmic patterns through the rhythm of the words.
Part III is the performance where students will perform the rondo with percussion instruments.
