These task cards are perfect for math stations because they are easy for students to use. The task cards will help students with number recognition, basic addition facts, counting on, and subitizing (instant judgment of number or amount). Using manipulatives and ten frames will reinforce students’ understanding of the concepts. The answer key provides an instant self-check for students, and the student recording sheet adds accountability for this math station.
To use this interactive math station, all you need to do is print the task cards, gather some blank ten frames (or print the ones that are included), and prepare a bucket of counters. This set contains ten-frame cards for numbers 0-10, and includes task cards with sums and differences to twenty.
There are four sets of Task Cards (with 4 per page) included in this product. This will allow you to scaffold student learning, as well as differentiate the content.

In 2006, I student taught in a dynamite 3rd grade classroom in Tallahassee, FL. I had two incredible mentor teachers that really influenced my teaching style. My first "official" teaching job was in Boise, Idaho. I taught morning and afternoon Kindergarten for a year. I swore I'd never teach another grade because I loved Kindergarten so much! In 2008, I moved to Texas and began teaching first grade. I recently accepted a position as an Instructional Specialist in Reading & Math (K-2) for my district.
