Help students to make text-based inferences with these passages. Five passages, all with a secret agent theme, help students to use critical details from a text to make an inference. Good for struggling readers in grades 3-6, especially students who are "word callers" and may have good fluency but poor comprehension.

After giving "Making Inferences for Primary Readers" as an informal assessment to my self-contained 7th & 8th graders, we used Max Mission to help hone our skills. The students LOVED being spies! Great resource!

Hi Jenny! Yes, I do write all of the passages. Luckily, my two sons (12 and 7) are wonderful test subjects and tell me what works and what doesn't. :) For the nonfiction, I research everything exhaustively and bore the people I live with for weeks before the text is finished. I've also written two teacher books--you can find links to them over at my blog. Thanks for writing!

I downloaded your test-based inferences for students but when I get to the bottom of the first page of the story a sentence begins but it doesn't continue onto the next page.
