I Am Not A Turkey Emergent Reader

Kindergarten and first grade students can strengthen their beginning reading skills as they enjoy this cute emergent reader. This book contains a repetitive text pattern, promotes early reading success and is a great way to combine Thanksgiving and literacy. This book is great to go along with the popular class project, "Disguise a Turkey."

In this download: An 8-page, full-color shared-reading book and a matching b &w student version for independent reading. Pocket chart cards and student worksheets are included.

As pat of our lessons, we have each student take home a blank turkey and with the heelp of their family they have to disquise it. This was a great way to introduce it and gt them all excited!!!!!

My kids LOVED this book! My only wish was that it had a page that sort of ended the book. I feel like it leaves you hanging a little bit. It is still amazing, though, and my kids LOVED the pictures!
