Thanksgiving Writing Assignment With Spanish Thanksgiving Vocabulary - Students choose from 2 writing prompts and over 40 Thanksgiving vocabulary words in Spanish and English. They write about family Thanksgiving traditions or about what they give thanks for. The quantity and variety of vocabulary makes it easy for students to complete their writing assignments and makes this item useful for all levels of Spanish. A one hundred word essay works well for first year students. The word count can be changed for other levels and varying ability levels.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I'm currently teaching 8th grade Spanish, but have taught all levels of Spanish, from kindergarten to high school at various times in the past 15 years. Every summer I teach Spanish at the local community college to grades k - 3 for the "College for Kids" program and high school students for the Upward Bound program. I have also taught 7th grade World Cultures with a focus on Hmong, Japanese, Arab and Chinese cultures. I have a BA in Spanish and International Relations from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL and an MA in Spanish Language and Culture from the University of Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain.
