FREEBIE! This anger management activity connects to the book, That Makes Me Mad, by Steven Kroll. This activity would supplement a lesson about making positive and negative choices when they feel angry at school. In this activity, students need to reflect on four times they feel anger or frustration during school and then find a negative and positive way in which they could react to their feelings.
Even without reading the book, you can use this is class! It would be a great opportunity to create an anchor chart for the classroom for the students to use as a resource throughout the year about the different choices they can make when faced with anger and frustration.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been a teacher in my mind for as long as I can remember! So many times, I fought with my sister and her friends to listen to me teach little lessons and grade fake papers. "School" was my favorite thing to play! Now I get to play real school everyday! I have been a "real" teacher for four years. My second home is in a bright, colorful third-grade classroom in Iowa full of bright, colorful little learners.
