One of the only days more challenging than Halloween may be the day AFTER Halloween. These 5 activities will allow students to use their excitement over Halloween trick-or-treating and candy in a positive way. In this product there is a graphing activity, descriptive writing activity, science observations lesson, an economics lesson on supply and demand, and a word problem activity where students answer questions using nutrition facts from popular Halloween candy. Any of these activities can be completed as a stand alone activity.
I bought this 2 days before Halloween last year, and was SO thankful for it. This year, having it already and planning for it was even more incredible! THANKS for saving my madness!

I'm planning on using this the day after Halloween, as suggested. I like all the elements and subject area that it covers using just Halloween candy. And I like the cleverness of asking kids to bring in their trick n' treats... cuz they are going to anyway.

Perfect extension and/or follow-up to the Halloween Math Center packet!
Hi Ashleigh,
I LOVE your idea about the Day After Halloween. I have had that same thought that we should have a day off on November 1st. In fact, I've even joked about taking a personal day. I teach 1st grade and was wondering if it would it be ok if I posted a Day After Halloween packet for Kindergarten and First grade? I have completely different activities included in it, but I didn't want to post it before asking. I could choose a different name if you'd prefer. Let me know. Like I said, I really don't want to step on anyone's toes.
That was so nice of you to ask! I think it'd be a great idea for K and 1st, so go for it. I'm sure your little ones are bouncing off the wall on the day after Halloween:)
I've been teaching for 8 years and think I have the best job in the world! I've taught 3rd and 4th grades and love developing curriculum and activities for my students.
