Are you tired of answering the question, "What do we do when we're done?" The Early Finishers Board will provide your students with fun and engaging tasks to complete when they finish their work. The board is divided into seven sections: Read It, Write It, Solve It, Draw It, Do It, Make It and Journal It. Students will choose a task from any section and complete it in their Early Finishers Notebook.

Every two weeks, the teacher will switch the tasks in each section so that there are a new set of tasks to complete.

I have recommended Grades 1-4 for this resource. Most activities are very open-ended so that they can be completed by a wide variety of ability levels. This being said, there are some activities that will be a bit difficult for first graders, particularly those with a lot of writing. For this reason I have included an 80+ page Supplementary Package of easier and more difficult activities. If one of the activities in the original resource is not appropriate for your students, you can replace it with an easier one from the Supplementary Package.

Hi there! The journal it section is a bit different. There is not a folder, but just three pockets instead. If you take a look at the picture of the board in the Getting Started Guide you will see what I mean. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! Thanks so much for your purchase. Hi Joy! Thank you for your question. This particular Early Finisher Board is for Grades 1-4. That being said, there are some activities that may be a bit easy for grade 4 students. If you buy the complete 40 week collection, I have included a supplementary package that includes more difficult activities that you can swap out for ones that are too easy. I have just started the grade 5-6 board, and it is a BIG job :) I am aiming to have the entire resource complete by September; however, due to demand I will plan on releasing the first 8 weeks as soon as it is ready so that people can get started preparing. I learned about your board from the OC Blog. I read through some of the examples that Charity listed. I am interested in purchasing the board but I am concerned about the level of questions. I know that it says it is for 1st - 4th but the examples that Charity provided seemed quite simple - e.g. 'read a story and list the title, characters..." Do the questions and activities become more advanced?

Hi there! Thanks for your question! I have tried to make the questions very open-ended so that each student can work to his/her fullest potential. Also, there is a lot of choice so that not all students will be completing all activities. Indeed, if you teach grade 4, you might find that some of the questions are a bit easy. But, for the most part, Grade 4's will really enjoy the activities. If you decide to purchase, please look through it, and if you don't feel that it is well-suited to your classroom, I would be happy to refund your money :)

Hi there! I am just in the process of editing my complete 40 weeks of Early Finisher activities and will be posting them on Tuesday, I hope. This is the Weeks 1-8 that I have already posted, plus an additional 32 weeks. I really think that the activities would work very well with grade 4, as I have tried to make all activities open to differentiation. If you purchase the complete 40 weeks once I post it, and find that you don't think it is suitable, I would be happy to arrange for a refund, but I think you will be happy with it :) If you would like to be notified by email once I post it, just go to my TpT store and click "Follow Me."

Do you plan to charge $7.99 for 8 weeks' worth of activities as you did for the first 8 weeks? So, it will total about $40 for 40 weeks of activities?
