This covers the Muslim Empires (Ottomans, Safavids, and Mughals) and China (Ming Dynasty) during the time period of European Exploration. Includes the rise and fall of all these empires; major figures from these empires (including Akbar, Babur, Osman, Mehmed II, Zhenghe). Many slides have a picture realm that automatically plays as you discuss the person, event, or concept. (Such as the Ottoman capture of Constantinople or the voyages of Zhenghe) Discusses the reasons for the civilizations closing their borders rather than expanding. Also discusses the difference between Sunni and Shi'a and how the Ottoman/Safavid wars have continued to today.
