This is a full-scaled lesson that includes standards, materials, objectives, introduction, step-by-step directions and most importantly, tiered worksheets for students (on and below grade level). The teacher reads "The First Thanksgiving. The class discuss, compares, and charts the information. The students head back to their seats and choose if they are a Pilgrim or Native American. They construct a journal entry for what their life would be like. The lower level utilizes choice and illustrations to guide their understanding. The higher level utilizes a choice menu of activities and food items to help guide them in their writing. This was a fantastic hit!

This is my fourth year teaching third grade although I have been working work children over a decade. I have taught multiple grade levels between pre-k and 6th. I have also taught general education classes, inclusion classes, and I usually have the ELLs in my classes as well.
