Are you tired of answering the question, "What do we do when we're done?" The Early Finishers Board will provide your students with fun and engaging tasks to complete when they finish their work. The board is divided into seven sections: Read It, Write It, Solve It, Draw It, Do It, Make It and Journal It. Students will choose a task from any section and complete it in their Early Finishers Notebook.

Every two weeks, the teacher will switch the tasks in each section so that there are a new set of tasks to complete.

For a complete, detailed description of this resource, please see the free preview.

Thanks for looking!

Hello. I downloaded the preview and it is too blurry to see the sample activities. Is there a way to get one week, or even half a week of sample activities that are regular size or a little bigger?

Hi there! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I recently moved and am still trying to locate my external hard drive where my older files are stored! Can you email me at shelley_gray_@hotmail.com and I will email you a larger preview file once I find my hard drive? Thanks so much!

I was wanting to know if your 5-6 version would be too challenging for 4th graders. Is your 1-4 geared more toward primary? Thanks!

Hello,

Im a teacher in 4th grade, do you reccommend the 1-4 or the 5-6th version? I just did not want it to be too easy. Thank you! :)

Hi there! Thanks for your interest. If you have a regular 4th grade class with some students below level, I would go with the 1-4 version, as it is very open to differentiation. If you have a high level class then the 5-6 version would likely be great. You can also get both versions for $24.99 if you'd like, which works out to $5 for the second version. If you take a look at this blog post there is a bit more information about this:

If you have any other questions feel free to ask!

Have a great day,

Hi Jen! Yes, the labels for each section are included. You will need your own letters for the title though (I'm Done! Now What?) I just used bulletin board letters for mine :)

Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with,

I am sorry. I thought this was going to be all math as that is all that I teach. I would like to return it. What steps do I need to take?

Thanks

Hi Donna. This product is marked as a English Language Arts and Math product. Additionally, the description and the free preview outlines that there are Language Arts components included. Returning a digital product is somewhat difficult, as you already have the files. I certainly want to be responsive to your concerns and I value each customer immensely, but the product is clearly marked as ELA. That being said, I will refer you to TpT Support. If you ask them they may have a solution for you. Please let me know if there is any other way that I can help you out.

Just copy and paste this link into your browser and fill out a support ticket. The support team is generally very quick answering questions/concerns.

Hi Shelley! I love your products- I also appreciate all of the work you do! I had previously ordered the Gr 5 & 6 Early Finisher Board week 1-8. I remember seeing something that, if we wanted to purchase the whole package, all 40 weeks, once it came out that the price could be adjusted. I have been checking back to see if you had uploaded it. However, things have been crazy with the start of school and I may have missed the deadline for it. Is that offer still going on?

Hi there! Yes, I had Weeks 9-40 on sale for a few days right after I posted them, which was a few weeks ago. However, I totally understand the craziness and will definitely still honor the sale price for you. Could you email me at shelley_gray_@hotmail.com and we will work something out?

Thanks!

Shelley,
First...thank you for all the work you do to help those of us who are not as creative. I really appreciate what you do.
Secondly, do you assess any of the work that students complete. Do you require students to complete a certain number of activities per 2 weeks? Maybe you can explain how to make students more accountable for work they do from the board. I'm also thinking of using this for some MI or differentiation activities. Since I've only seen your preview, any suggestions you can share would be helpful. Looking forward to hearing from you, Therese Scifres, Morton, IL

Hi Therese! Thank you so much for your kind words. My intent with the Early Finisher Board is simply to provide engaging activities to students who finish their work. Therefore, I don't necessarily recommend setting an expectation as to how many need to be completed. Some of your students might get through every activity on the board, and some might only do one. That is okay! As far as assessment goes, because of my personal philosophy of assessment, I would not recommend marking all of the activities. First of all, it would too much time on your part. Second of all, I don't believe that everything that students do should be marked. That being said, you will want to check in with students to ensure that they are on the right track. You could do this simply by observation, or you could plan to meet with students one a week or so to check in with them. Another idea is to meet with groups of 4 or 5 students so that they can show each other which Early Finisher activities they've been working on and share their ideas/answers. These are my own ideas. However, depending on your students/classroom you may have to set other expectations/routines. There is really no right way to do it...it just comes down to what works in your classroom.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks so much for your interest. Have a great week,

Shelley
