This is a 136-question final exam for the novel The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. This is the PDF version (also offered in a Word document).

The test is standards-based, aligned with the Common Core Standards.
The final exam includes the following:
24 character fill-in-the-blank (with word bank)
15 multiple choice
11 sequence of events
6 short answer essay
3 extra credit questions
and 73 matching items of vocabulary, broken down into several sections for each of the three parts of the book.
It could be given after each Part of the novel or all at once. It need not be with the other final questions (if you teach non-block schedule like I do, you could give the vocabulary test the next day).
Answer key is included for everything.

The sequencing of events sections was very difficult. I had to not count it on the test. Also, might like to see the character ID section maybe broken up into two.... students did really well on most characters.. but mixed up some of the district tributes. Good questions on the multiple choice. Maybe could include a few more short answer or essay questions.

Sorry your students found it too difficult. I aligned it with the new Common Core Standards and sequencing of events is one of the standards. In the Test Bundle package and overall Hunger Games unit there are additional tests that have more essay questions, as well.
