It has over 90 slides of information and visual aids, as well as thought-provoking discussion questions. Students can answer the questions on the INCLUDED handouts, or use the prompts for engaging them in lively class discussions. Download the preview to see thumbnails of the slides. on the third slide (...a new home, money for life, and a career mentoring new opponents each year?)
I wondered if this should have read mentoring new tributes or even participants. The word opponents just didn't seem quite right for me.
Other than that, I love the way certain vocabulary words are highlighted in bold and colored print on the slides. Great for my teen ESL class.

Thanks for the feedback, Holly! Originally I had "tribute" but because I used it as an anticipatory activity, my students didn't get it. When I introduced the term tribute to them afterward, they were able to make the connection that tribute meant opponents in the Games. Of course, my students are all English speaking, so I can see how it might be confusing for them. But that's the beauty of the PowerPoint: you can adjust it to suit your needs. :) -Tracee

I don't know how Tracee finds the time to create all these resources for us, but I'm glad she does. This was extremely valuable. We stopped where we were supposed to stop according to chapters, and the students would always remind me to show more. The visuals really help with comprehension.
