"The Intolerable Acts" drama begins with a conversation between Lord Frederick North and William Lemon about how they should punish the colonists for The Boston Tea party and other various protests. Scene 2 opens in the home of a colonist in Boston who is forced to quarter, or give room and board to a British soldier (due to the Quartering Act). Students will be encouraged to write the kinds of things they would have said to each other as they shared a space in the family dwelling.
