This 4 page activity asks students to access prior knowledge, make predictions, define vocabulary, ask questions, and make inferences. It takes students through the stages of reading: before, during, and after. The CSI assignment after reading the short story asks students to take on the role of a detective and investigate the disappearance of Billy Weaver - they must use facts from the story in order to make their case. Bundle includes a key and both .pdf and .doc versions of all resources.
I would love a Word.doc option, as I can't edit the PDF--but thank you for this assignment!
