This powerpoint lesson teaches students how to write the last stage of a literary essay: the conclusion. It scaffolds all the steps of the conclusion, and provides specific examples strong and weak work. While the examples given refer to Romeo and Juliet, I have used this powerpoint with students who range in grade (from 9-12) and ability (applied-gifted). In general, it provides a very concrete approach to what is, for some students, an otherwise daunting task. Look also for my "essay organizer" companion product.
