Here's a great project for intermediate level grades that is fun, engaging, and builds GREAT life skills! The Million Dollar project is designed to give students $1 million to spend, with certain guidelines, of course. This project helps to:
1. review Place Value
2. review adding and subtracting decimals
3. give you an idea of what your students value
4. builds life skills, such as managing money, writing checks, planning for the future, and even some philanthropy!
I love this project and so do my students! This project comes with two pages of instructions and rules, a tracking sheet for expenses, and several pages of blank checks!

I have been looking for a nice assessment for my 6th graders who have just finished a unit on operations! This will be a wonderful check to see what they've learned! And I love how it connects to the 'real world', which my students often fail to see. Thanks so much!

This looks like an amazing project, but both times I downloaded it I could only view the title page and all the directions didn't show up properly! I am bumming! From the thumbnails this project looks like it would be a blast for the kiddos!

There's a handful of people with this issue too! The issue seems to be coming from a) if you have a Mac and b) if you don't have an updated version of Adobe! I haven't solved the first problem yet (don't know how to open it on Macs) but try updating Adobe if that's the issue and see if it's fixed! If not, could you maybe open it on a PC at school or elsewhere? Sorry for the major inconvenience!!

I love this idea for my 4th graders, however when I went to print it the pages after your title page were all black blurred lines and I could not get the pages to print the way should look. Is there another way I can get a copy of this wonderful project?

My guess is that you're using a Mac. For one reason or another, the project will only print out or appear correctly on a PC. I have no idea why but this was an error I discovered last year! I hope you have access to one, but other than that, I'm afraid there's not much I can do!

Is this a demo or something? Or is it supplemented on your blog? The only pages that worked were the first and last. Unless I'm only supposed to see lines of gradient and empty boxes.
