I've had lots of requests for my "Name Game" sheet that I use in my kindergarten classroom. I have formatted it for names that are 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 letters long. These are meant to be "personalized" Please replace "3Name" at the top and in the drawing box with the child's name that has 3 letters. The dotted line boxes at the bottom are for you to type the letters in as well. These are for the children to cut out, then glue in order. To add difficulty later in the year, I mix these "cut out" letters up, so "Angie" would be "gAnei".
*UPDATED....all are now in landscape. Added name sheets for children with 8, 9, or 10 letter names!
**New update...each name sheet is a separate file. Hopefully that helps with the formatting problems a few people were having!!! Sorry for any inconvenience.
In my classroom we do one classmate's name each week as part of my daily 5 rotation.
FourDFive, Hmmmmmmm.....I haven't had anyone else say that. I wonder what happened??? Send me your email (angie@ilovekindergarten.com) and I will try to send it to you as an attachment. We'll see if that works.
Sorry you are having trouble!

This is just what I needed for my 4K class. I am using it for individual students to practice identifying and writing the letters of their name. I like that it has varying degrees of difficulty. Some of my students will just work on identifying and spelling name while others will work on writing correctly.I wish it was possible to fit up to 10 letters. I am in the South where a lot of children have double names. I am just using two sheets for my long names.

Angie, I bought this a few months ago but had trouble with formatting and gave up. I decided to try again and noticed that you have a new and updated format. I really would like to use this terrific activity. Would you be able to send me the updated version? Thanks very much for your help.
Of course, Cathy! Send me an email at angie@ilovekindergarten.com and I will email it to you. I found that a couple of people with older versions of word were having trouble. I will also send you a pdf format I made....if all else fails, you can write the names in on that format.
Thanks for writing me!

I just bought and downloaded this game, however, only half of the header and name show up. The little box in the upper right hand corner hardly shows at all. I've tried playing with portrait or landscape and the margins, but to no avail. This does not help. Can you please help me? This looks amazing and I would LOVE to use it in my class.
I just tried to reformat a bit to see if that helps. Send me an email at angie@ilovekindergarten.com and I'll send you what I have.
Not sure why it's not working for a few people. :(

What are the students suppose to do in the are labeled "Letters like me"?
I also have 4 students with more that 7 letters in their name.
Please e-mail me with more information
Thanks!
Mari
Hi Mari,
Letters like me is where the student puts the letters that are also in their name. So if the Name Game name is Zoey, and Zachary is doing the sheet, he would put the letters Z and y in that box. Does that make sense? I am working on a way to make it for more than 7 letters. It's tricky....it makes the boxes too small! I will let you know if I figure out and send it to you (for free). Thanks so much!

Just thought I'd check in with you again to see if you see found a way to make these work for students who have longer names. Thanks! Krissy
Krissy,
I wanted to let you know I am still trying to figure out a way to make it for longer names. I tried doing it in "landscape mode", but it formatted really weird. I don't want to make it with no room for drawing a picture...SO sorry...I am working on it and I will give it to you as soon as I figure it out. It shouldn't be so hard. :)

I know you mention that they only go up to 7 letter. What do you do when you have a student with 9 letters and he doesn't go by a shortened nickname? I'd like to purchase these, but hate to leave a child out. Any ideas?
Hi Krissy,
I first created these about 2 years ago, and I haven't had that situation come up yet. I am working on a solution as we speak. It's a bit tricky....I'm thinking I might need to do it in landscape in order to fit all the columns in. Email me at angie@ilovekindergarten.com and I will see what I can do to help. :)
