The Ocean Blue

This book has eight cut-and-paste lessons, plus instructions for a directed drawing cover. The lessons can be used when studying the ocean. The text for this book is based on the Bill Martin's familiar word pattern of "Brown Bear, Brown Bear." The ocean animals included in this book are: Fish, Jellyfish, Squid, Octopus, Starfish, Hermit Crab, Stingray, and Whale. There are facts given about each ocean animal in this book.

The TLC directed art lessons are designed to help the children develop their self confidence and creative ability. The children are given only squares and rectangles to create pictures. The children learn to cut circles, ovals and triangles from the squares and rectangles. All of the children begin with the same materials and follow the same directions, but the results are individual and no two creations look alike.
