This unit is designed to guide students through the reading of the epic poem, The Odyssey by Homer. It includes a daily guide for the teacher and students, daily student handouts, templates and examples for graphic organizers on the major elements of study, and web/internet activities to investigate Homer and the times of the Ancient Greeks. Some page adjustment may need to take place on margins and to add space for your class design and day/time plans. This would also work with the Read 180 version of the poem to guide students and allow them to exhibit creativity in their understanding of the Homer epic. Also includes a day on poetry and the epic poem. Includes a unit project assignment with 6 options from which students may choose to review the unit and poem.

I do not include my own tests in my unit packages, only the activities (as stated in the description), because I know each teacher will emphasize different things and will need to assess their students based on their school or district requirements (and their class levels).
I can suggest the online test at Sparknotes.com. There are quite a few options with the m/c and it provides students the study guide if you allow "open book" tests.

We actually went at varied paces but stopped at each point to work as a whole group. I supplemented in other activities along the way for the quick ones and worked day be day with my lower readers. I hope it works well for your classes!
