My students absolutely loved this unit. It was fun and engaging and really helped to differentiate between the spelling pattern. Thank you for your hard work!
It's so hard to come up with so many different ways for students to remember different spelling and phonics "rules." Your characters are fun and help serve as reminders - love it! We used a lot of the picture-word pieces just as a quick match up game right before guided reading lessons.
My students love all of your "kids" Every time we start something new they always ask, "which kid are we learning about today" Thank you for creating such fun units!!

Hi Carol. Your download is not incomplete :) But I can totally understand how it would seem that way! I did not include pictures for those two words as I was unable to find the graphics that accompanied the words :) You can omit these two words when your kids match the pictures/words and/or you can also have your kids sort only the words :) Does that make sense?! That's how I did this activity with my kids and it worked wonderfully!!! Hope you enjoy your purchase!! Thanks so much!! Many blessings to you!

Your Out of Towners packet is wonderful! Very, very helpful!!!! Do you by any chance have anything for au/aw?
THANK YOU!!!! Funny you should ask...we're about to assess those sounds next week and I'm changing up that packet to fit those sounds. It will pretty much be the exact same thing...without the traveling component and craftivity! Hope to have it up and running by Sunday night!!!

Love the Out of Towners! Can you check pg. 45 of the unit? It looked like Flip it was spelled Tlip it. Thanks :)
Thanks so much for responding! From my phone, I don't see where I can send you a message on Facebook, so I'm going to post directly to your wall. Can't wait to hear back! :)
Hi Cara, thank you for all your great products! I see that you use PowerPoint and PDF files. My question is - how do you get all of your pages or slides to appear on one page on your download preview? I can not seem to figure that out!
Thanks!
Crissy
I do this in Power Point also. There's probably a MUCH more efficient way, but it works for me! Save ALL the slides in your packet as a jpeg {power point gives you this option}. Now open up a new document. Insert all of the pages you want to show in your preview as a picture/jpeg...kind of like you're inserting clip art. Just minimize the pictures to the size that you want and arrange them all over the new document like you would for a preview. Does that make sense?!?! Pretty easy!!! Hope this helps!!
Hi Cara,
I don't have a question but wanted to let you know I sent you something to your First Grade Parade e-mail. Just wanted to show my gratitude and thank you for all the wonderful ways you inspire us all.

I've been teaching for 10 years. I spent 7 years teaching Kindergarten and then moved up to 2nd grade and loved it! I didn't know what I was missing. A year later I moved to 1st grade and I'll never look back. It's the best!
