Quick and Dirty!!
Teach this one to your class in two minutes- seriously-and they will never, ever forget how to find the circumference of a circle, ever again!!! We used this fun and simple little song as a kick-off to our huge Pi-Day celebration last year.
This song is sung to the tune of the Farmer in the Dell and teaches the following standards:
What is the formula for finding circumference of a circle?
What is pi?

Mrs. Sorochak has taught elementary school for 17 years. She and her husband lived in Connecticut for the first six years of their marriage, where she taught sixth grade at an inner city bilingual Middle School. She now teaches in South Carolina in a beautiful, unique, rural elementary school-aka: teacher-Heaven! Mrs. Sorochak loves teaching the fifth-sixth age group. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut, and Mrs. Sorochak completed a Masters of Education degree in Divergent Learning, at Columbia College, in April of 2005.
