The Qur'an in the fundamental text of Islam and reading of at least a part of it is essential for any study of Islamic history. This project will allow the students to examine a portion of the Qur'an that will show its connections to Judaism, Christianity, and its treatment of women. It is a good chance to teach students how to read primary sources in context.
