This 5 lesson mini-unit for The Stranger, by Chris Van Allsburg, has a reading comprehension strategy focus on inferring. Each lesson contains detailed plans, including questions for oral discussions, as well as reproducible handouts and graphic organizers for students. Assessment rubrics are also included. Some topics include: OQI anchor chart (Observe, Question, Infer), comprehension questions, choral reading activity, character webs, summary writing, and reader reflection.
This mini-unit is included in my larger unit, Inferring with Chris Van Allsburg. This unit plan includes 5 mini-units: The Garden of Gasazi, Just a Dream, The Mysteries of Harris Burdick, The Stranger, and The Wretched Stone.

I like the questions but I was looking for something that had more guidence with answering your questions. You don't have an answer key to your questions. Also, I have the book so I didn't need to spend money or waste paper on printing the pages of the book. A little disappointed.
