With close to 90% of our working memory devoted to images, doesn't it just make sense to teach vocabulary visually? This presentation begins with an introduction that activates prior knowledge and then builds background. The selection vocabulary are then presented with a visual clue, a sentence to practice reading for contextual clues, and finally the definitions. Following is the presentation of the week's spelling words and dictation sentences. If you are use Open Court Reading, then you SHOULD be using these presentations. Time and again they have proven effective, and easy; so give it at try today! Thank you,
Steve
