In this activity based on the True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle by Avi, students are asked to put Charlotte on trial for the murder of Zachariah. Students will break up into groups of three, two people playing lawyers, and one person as Charlotte. The "lawyers" will come up with 3 questions for Charlotte to answer. Then they will conduct their trial in front of the class.
