The Ultimate Weekly Planner is a best seller for a very good reason: It is useable by all teachers in all grade levels in all capacities.

The planners are totally customizable.

Excel based, this plan book keeps an entire years worth of plans in one file. You only need to type in your basics one time, and then use that template to quickly create your plans each week. They can be used again and again. Better, and far less expensive than online plan books and there are no yearly fees.

In addition to the plan book, your download includes:

*8 different editable cover options

*136 pages of Common Core Standards – ALL K-12 ELA and MATH Standards. Just drop your grade level standards into your plan book and you will always have what you need right at your fingertips.

*20 pages of detailed instructions that include some tips and tricks on using Excel.

*Class list recording sheets that auto-fills several pages of student names after you’ve entered them once. Use the sheets for grades, tracking progress, track receipt of forms or items.

In all, this download contains over 502 pages! A lot of work has gone into making sure this file will suit everyone's needs and offer the best planning solution.

Download the preview to see some samples of what is included in the file and what can be created from the templates provided. In all there are 81 different pre-made planner templates. Each can be customized, edited and altered to fit your needs, color preference and font choices. All of the components are available for older versions of Office (97-2004).

You also have the option of having me create a completely customized planner for you! Check out Customize My Planner for more information on that.

Although the Weekly Planner is a stand-alone product, it is a perfect accompaniment to The Year Planner.

RUN ALL UPDATES ON EXCEL (and Windows) TO ENSURE THE PROGRAM RUNS OPTIMALLY. This is an EXCEL file. You MUST have Excel in order to use it.

Hi Traci--

I am very interested in this planner for my high school classroom. I will be teaching 3 preps one semester and 4 another, so the personalization is great. However, is it practical to print out a years worth of weeks to hand fill-in? There is something about actual paper and pencil planning that I can't move away from!

Hi :)
Yes you could print 36 (or however many you need) and write in your info after setting up a master copy the way you want. I have a couple friends that do it that way.

Hi Traci-- Thank you for all of your hard work you put into this. I am excited to use it but need help.
Where is the instruction page? I can't seem to find it.
Not all of the Core Standards are downloading. Only K is showing.
Thanks a million--

Hi Chris,
I just emailed you. Also, I have renamed the instructions file in the download so that all systems should now recognize it. The common core workbook is just one file. It contains a tabbed worksheet for each grade level/subject k-12. Thanks!

I will be teaching GA Lottery Pre-K next year. Pre-K does not use Common Core standards, but uses GELDS. Is there a way for me to input the GELDS standards into the document so that I can drag and drop them the same as the common core?

Traci Clausen  (TpT Seller)
You could add GELDS. However you would need to type them up in an Excel worksheet that you would then drop into your weekly plan Excel workbook each year. You do not have to use the common core standards that come with it.

No. They are Excel programs. Although Numbers can open some Excel files, there is just too much in these for Numbers and it doesn't convert. However, the planners are compatible will all versions of Excel for both Windows and Mac.

Hi Traci! Your weekly planner is absolutely beautiful! Is there any chance you have a version of this with the days of the week across the top and learning blocks blocks going vertically instead of horizontally? Also, is it possible to remove the holidays entirely? I teach overseas and we celebrate minimal US holidays. Cheers!

Hi, Traci, I am a single ESL teacher at a K-8 school plus I do reading intervention, so I have to keep track of at least 9 different sets of curriculum frameworks for each subject that I am pulling out of as well as the matching lesson plans. To make matters worse, many of the classes start at odd times such as 11:20am. Can your planner help with scheduling classes that occur at different times each day, often for different lengths of time? It would be great if I could keep all the plans together on just a few different sheets instead of the 12 notebooks that I currently have. (I am also considering your yearly planner.)

Traci, I purchased this planner as it is the closest thing to usable I've found. However, I would like a larger format. Say: A two page format with 8 squares on each day, with the first square being the size it currently is and with the planning columns in the front as you have them now. I'd like to be able to put in a binder and have a two page spread to look at. Easier to write in and to see! Would you be able to help me with that? Thanks! Deb S.

I received your email. You can customize this planner to suit your needs. I'm not sure what you mean about losing lines, but you can add borders to any Excel cell. Although it is set to print on one page as a default, you can change it to print to 2-pages with a portrait orientation (you will need wider columns so that it fits those 2 pages nicely). I am more than happy to help you make any adjustments. :D

Hi,
When you refer to Excel needing to be "updated," are you meaning that the program will not work correctly with the 08 version of Excel? I purchased this product and love it so far, but when I go to add columns or do any sort of personalizing like that, the program quits unexpectedly. This is frustrating for me because I can't wait to utilize the template. I have closed out all programs, restarted my computer, and there aren't any software updates needed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

Traci Clausen  (TpT Seller)
Hi,
The program works with all versions of Excel, but you do need to run all updates for your particular versions. Check to be sure you have the latest update for Excel 08 installed. I can't answer as to why it would be quitting on you. If you want to send it to me, I can take a look at it and make any adjustments you need made. Be sure you have the latest version of the planner - that has no protection on it (there should not be any locks on the bottom tabs) as the one that was protected had some compatibility issues - especially with Excel 08. Please email me if you continue to have problems so I can help you out.

Yes, you can change the page set up so that it prints 2 pages wide, and 1 page high. You will need to adjust the column widths so that it fits well. In order to insert columns, it is easiest if you make sure your Excel is set to show row and column headings: Excel/Preferences/View/Show Row and Column Headings. Hi Spring,
It is exactly the same as changing it in Word. Highlight, change size. However, there were some compatibility issues with older versions of Word and the original protected version of the planner than would not allow some users to change the font. The newest version of the planner is not protected and therefore does not have those compatibility issues. If your planner has little padlocks on the tabs - you have the old version. Delete that one and redownload the newest version from TpT. Please feel free to email me if you have any other questions.

It sounds like your Excel program may have the window maximized too much. If you are on a Mac, the tabs may be behind your doc. If that's the case you need to adjust Excel so you can see workbooks correctly. Try clicking Window/Arrange and something other than what it is currently set at - like Horizontal. This isn't a problem with the planner, but the way you have your Excel set up to view. It can be adjusted. :D Please feel free to email me if you have further questions - dragonfliesinfirst@gmail.com

You can adjust row height and cell width just be sure you have your Excel set to show you the row and column headers: Excel/Preferences/View/Show Row and Column Headers. Then just slide things around as you see fit. You can use "Insert" to add columns, however, it is often easier and more space saving to put specials into one of your other blocks - especially if you aren't teaching them. See the examples included with the planner for ideas. Email me if you need help or have more questions. :D

It sounds like your Excel isn't set to show tabs. Click Excel/Preferences/View/Show tabs. Feel free to email me if you any questions. dragonfliesinfirst@gmail.com

Hi! Is it possible to print a week's schedule using a two - page spread?

If you widen your columns, then in the print window scale it to print 2 pages wide by 1 page tall you could get it to print on 2 pages horizontally. If you make your rows larger, and scale it to print 1 page wide, by 2 pages tall you could get it to print on 2 pages vertically. You will have to play with the size of the rows/columns to get it to be the way you'd want it. It is currently scaled to print on 1 page. If you'd like my help, just email me (: dragonfliesinfirst@gmail.com

Would you please send me a sample as well? I'm not exactly sure where to put my information and don't want to clutter up your template :) Thank you so much. brinarae2010@gmail.com

I was expecting to be able to one of the templates that you show. I was NOT expecting to start from scratch. Please send me copies of the samples you showed.

Hi Traci! I just purchased and every time I try to enter a Header, it crashes Excel. Any idea why? Also, could you email me a sample of elementary lesson plans with wording in it? I'm not sure where to put what and need a starting point or ideas.

I have no idea why it is crashing. I would restart your computer if I were you. Did you run all the updates on Excel before starting? Email me so I have your email address and I'll be happy to send you some samples. If you'd like to email me your schedule along with letting me know which color planner you like the best, I can work a sample up based on your schedule, too. dragonfliesinfirst@gmail.com
