A fun, attention-getting introduction to the writing process! This presentation describes the five steps to writing, which are planning, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing. All the information is ready to go, including some fun cowboy music in the transitions and some "Yo Ho, Pirate's Life For Me" to wrap it up! My students LOVED this, and we kept the pirate theme for the whole unit. If a student ever got stuck while writing, I would just say, "Remember the pirates!" Very memorable! Follow this up with my informative essay introduction PowerPoint!
