This product is a set of 24 Theme labels that you can use to create a bulletin board or visual minilesson aid as you teach theme. Also included:

* a title page for the bulletin board
* definition pages for theme and author's message
* a link to a database of theme read alouds
* a template for responding to the theme by thinking about the author's message (for teacher to model as well as students to create from read alouds)
* common core standards posters for 1st-5th grades

(Themes include: kindness, forgiveness, equality, home, friendship, belonging, individualism, accepting others, freedom, accepting change, courage, perseverance, making a difference, responsibility, injustice, traditions, leadership, identity, values, good triumphs, compassion, sacrifice, selflessness, and family.

I was able to download easily, but on pages 3-14 the letters run into each other and overlap making it difficult to read the word. I tried to change the paper size to legal, but that didn't help. Do you know how I can fix this? Hopefully there is an easy fix. Thank you.

I have opened the file on my computer and do not have this same issue. Would it be possible to try downloading on another computer to see if that fixes the issue?

I am in my 8th year of teaching. Most of my teaching experience has been in 5th grade, but I taught 4th grade for two years and looped with those classes. I have a masters in Curriculum and Instruction in Reading and received National Boards Certification in Middle Childhood. Being an elementary teacher, I teach all subject areas and think about ways to engage children in content through collaboration and discussion.
