Takek your students on a learning adventure that is out of this world! This pack includes four space-themed literacy centers that you and your students will both love! Your students will enjoy learning with these hands-on, ready-to-print centers that are all about space!
This pack includes:
-Asteroid ABC's: Students will practice putting words into alphabetical order using a Solar System word mat, plus write and illustrate one juicy sentence about their favorite word!
-Blast Off! Sight Word Game: Students will reinforce their sight word fluency in this fun and fast-pasted card game that can be played with 2-6 students at a time.
-No Place Like Space Making Words Activity: Students will cut apart all the letters in the word "asteroid" and manipulate the letters and sounds to see how many words they can make! This is a wonderful phonemic awareness activity for beginning readers and writers!
-Scrambled Sentences Flying Through Space: Students will take jumbled up space-themed sentences and put them back in order and record each sentence on their worksheet. This is a great way for students to practice complete sentences!
These literacy centers will be the perfect companion to your Space unit of study! I hope your kiddos love them as much as mine did!

I am a National Board Certified Teacher with an Early Childhood Generalist certificate. This is my sixth year teaching in Orange County, California, and my fifth year teaching kindergarten. Due to budget cuts last year I found myself jobless, then rehired to teach a last-minute third grade class (crazy!). . . and now I am back where I belong! I love the curiosity and amazing growth that happens in kindergarten!
