This is a good 2 day lesson about proverbs, that goes great in the middle of reading Chinua Achebe's "Things Fall Apart." In addition to defining proverbs, the students look closely at the proverbs found in the novel, and even get to write some proverbs of their own.

Subject Area:
7 years of successful teaching in the Public High School system in NYC. While there, I have taught English to 9th, 10th and 11th graders. In addition I have taught courses in SAT Prep, Media Studies.
