"Reading is Thinking" and we use lots of reading strategies everyday to help us understand the text we are reading! When we read a book or a story, sometimes it is a good idea to track our thoughts. We call these thinking tracks!
Students can record their active reading on these strategy-specific thinking track graphic organizers while reading expository or narrative texts. A thinking track record sheet can be used for a whole book or one for each chapter in a novel. This is a great way for students to informally record their thinking while reading!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
