This is a 5 page (activity) mini thematic unit about Thomas Edison. It is appropriate for learners in grades 3 - 5. It is cross-curricular as it includes 2 writing assignments, a timeline, an art activity,as well as a news activity. The unit should take approximately a week to complete and correlates language arts, art, science, and history.

I have taught for 36 years at the 3rd, 5th, and 6th grade levels. Fifth grade is my first love. I teach all major subject areas. In addition to my regular classroom duties, I have taught in a Basic Skills summer school program for many years as well as taught workshops to co-workers in whole language and technology.
