This is a structured oral activity for practicing direct object pronouns in French. Students work in partners to see who can win at Tic Tac Toe, but they have to replace the direct object in the sentence correctly before they can put an X or O in the square. Complete instructions are provided. This idea can be used to practice vocabulary as well. It's a good warm-up to review the concept at the beginning of a class.

Tried this today - I believe the answers are on the incorrect sheets though. (Each student has her/his OWN answers instead of the partner's) Easy enough for me to switch, but just wanted to mention! :-)

Merci beaucoup!!

Hi Mme Aiello,

Yes, they are supposed to have their own answers. What happens is Person A picks a square (ex. Case #5), person B looks on their sheet and reads what they have in box #5 (which is different from their own). Person B answers and person A checks the answer which is on their sheet. If Person B gets it right, both students put and X in box 5. I hope that clarifies how the activity works.
