Tick-Tock Goes the Clock is like a sequel to Whoooo Knows the Time? It continues practice of analog time to the minute and quarter hour, and includes terms such as "quarter after, quarter to, 15 minutes before, and 15 minutes after". Children set up the 24 flip cards on a table and take turns choosing a clock card. They set their clock to the given time, then flip the card around to check their answer. This gives the students instant feedback or immediate correction as needed. This is a great activity for individual practice or for use in a small group learning center. An easy to read direction card ensures that students can work independently.
This activity is so easy for teachers, parents or volunteers to create! Simply reproduce on heavy paper, laminate if desired, cut apart and fold on the dotted lines. Provide a clock and let the practice begin! So much more interesting (and fun!) than a worksheet page!
