Time Flies! has been REVISED in 2012 to include time to the hour, half hour, quarter hour, 5 minute and minute increments!
Time Flies! is a great way for children to practice recognition of time in analog and digital forms. This activity has an easy to read directions card for independent workers. It includes 2 'wrist watches' and strips that slide through the face of each watch. The strips for one watch show analog clock faces while the other strips show the digital times. Children assemble their watches, then pull the strips through each watch to match the analog and digital times. My second graders had a blast making these watches and practicing telling time all in one! Now even younger students can enjoy the fun with the ADDITIONAL clocks containing only time to the hour or only to the half hour. 6 different clock increments from which to choose! Photocopy onto card stock or heavy paper for best results.

SO glad you like this activity! Yes, card stock or construction paper for sure!! I made sure I put that in the description so all would know. And if you want to keep it as a center activity, I would still copy onto card stock and then laminate!

Yes, I recommend printing on card stock and laminating, especially if they are for a center and will be used by more than 1 child. If every child makes their own, I still recommend card stock or construction paper, but you can skip the laminating and tell them to be gentle since it is 'only paper'.

Terry Palmieri specializes in the development and implementation of standard-based educational math and literacy activities for students in K - 2nd grade. During her 25 years of experience as a classroom teacher for students in the first three grade levels, she gravitated toward the use and development of interactive center activities to maximize learning. Positive feedback from colleagues who participated in her local and statewide workshops prompted Terry to share this experience-based expertise with other educators through her teacher-friendly math activity resources. Terry served as the Math Specialist in a Primary Project Child classroom with the Palm Beach County School Board for 5 years. She continues to develop standard-based educational math and literacy activities for students in K - 2nd grade. Her students' success with innovative interactive center activities and their enthusiasm for learning ignites her passion for continuous improvement.
