This is a template of 29 important years in history ready to be filled in with summarizing artwork from your students. It comes with an additional blank template for the vocabulary box for you to fill in.
Objectives:
Illustrate the main idea of the event within the borders of the year that it happened.
Use specific and predetermined vocabulary words to write a summary statement about the event.
Purpose:
This activity can serve as an evaluation tool. The students will use their artistic abilities along with their summarizing skills to retell the teacher what they understand about the event, and is also a wonderful vocabulary review.

1620 - Pilgrims;
1765 - Stamp Act;
1770 - Boston Massacre;
1776 - Dec. of Ind.;
1789 - U.S. Constitution;
1791 - Bill of Rights;
1803 - Louisiana Purchase;
1812 - War of 1812;
1865 - Civil War & Amendments 13-15;
1917 - U.S. enters WWI;
1941 - Pearl Harbor & WWII;
1950 - Korean War begins;
1965 - Vietnam War begins;
1991 - Cold War ends;
2001 - Twin Towers Attacked
