Have students practice their multi-syllabic blending and word reading using this Christmas-themed syllable sort. Included in the file are 3 sorting mats: 1, 2, and 3 syllables, 30 Christmas-themed word cards (with picture cues and without), a recording sheeting, and answer key... everything you need for one of your December word-work stations. Also included are 30 pictures cards to match the word only cards so you can use as a matching game, Christmas version of BAM (Lump of Coal cards) or glue back to back with the word-only cards and use as flash cards. Cards could also be used to put in ABC order, taped to students back to guess what/who you are... The possibilities are endless!
