This culture project involves your students in a research opportunity using a first person, fun format! Students will "travel" to another country and keep a scrapbook of their experience. During the oral presentation of their trip, others in the class will get to experience multiple vacations and take notes on what they learn. Everyone will get their own passport to be stamped following the visit around the world! I love using this project with the Culturegram database, but any source will do.
You will receive all masters in this download, including a grading rubric and passport templat.

This was a great addition when we studied different countries in our Social Studies. It was a creative way for my students to present their information!

I was a scrapbooker (back in the days when I had more time). I love "artsy" things, and I think creativity is a good "hook" with the kids. Glad your kids were able to benefit!

Hi there. In Texas it covers several in social studies. Express ideas (about culture). Compare ethnic and/or cultural traditions in Texas, the United States, and other nations. Compare ways in which people in the local community and communities around the world meet their needs.

I began my teaching career in 1998. During my 10 years of classroom teaching experience, I have worked with students from kindergarten to 5th grade. I am excited to begin this new fork in my career. This year I begin teaching in a new capacity as a Library Media Specialist. Now, EVERYONE is my student. I love inspiring students to appreciate literature and the love of reading. Hopefully, this will be my legacy to them.
