I color-coded the think aloud prompts from the Treasures reading program in a small group format and large squares to insert in the differentiated instruction cubes. Insert multiple copies of the strategies you have taught your class, or use the smaller cubes after you have taught all of the strategies. One cube is geared more to fiction and the other is more for nonfiction. Students roll the cube and connect with the text using the language from the Treasures program. I plan on using these for informal assessments to see if students are able to use the strategies with prompting. Hope they are useful.
