What do you do with your turkey leftovers? Well I decided to share mine with you! These are perfect for a Thanksgiving Activity Day. Most of them could be done by a parent. I have provided a poem that has been around forever but is easy for the children to learn to read and sing. All the activities relate to this. Turkey leftovers is "stuffed" with ideas I cooked up for you to use with your young learners to build print knowledge and fluency. Writing skills can also be practiced with cards provided in this packet.
Here's what is included:
1. Pocket chart sentences to build
2. An emergent reader
3. Teacher version for guided reading
4. Card Sorting that is differentiated
5. Beginning Sounds Activity for independent
6. Vocabulary Sticks for oral language and
7. A spinner game
I am thankful for this generous comment and you. Thanks so much. Seriously, my students have been singing this and humming it all week!
