I use Twitter in my classroom and LOVE it! However, I do find that a lot of my students/parents are completely new to Twitter, so they sign up for an account JUST to follow my class Twitter. Because they're only reading our class updates, sometimes they get bored and are discouraged to continue reading. I want to show students/parents the other resources that are just WAITING for them on Twitter, so I compiled this list.
This document lists Twitter users that might post useful information for elementary and secondary students. I've divided the users into categories based on age and subject. It's a work in progress, but I'd like to share it with you!
How to use this: print off the portion relating to your students. (Teach elementary? Only print the elementary section. Teach high school science? Only print the science section.) Give the list to every student and/or parent in your class. Simple as that!
Ask TheTeacherGarden a question. They will receive an automated email and will return to answer you as soon as possible.

Hi.. For some reason, everything I clicked on in your free Twitter product I get a message saying "Can't locate internet server or proxy". Any ideas why this is happening? When I clicked on your blog, the same thing happened. I'm perplexed :)

Oh, goodness. I apologize! I have no idea why that's happening!
I have that item saved as a Google document, so maybe the links will work better there? Try going to https://docs.google.com/document/d/1g70eMb0No0ykaaH7jaxPwMi8n63OlxISJgUp2m1YoF8/edit?hl=en_US and see if that works! If not, we'll try to figure out something else!
