Have fun with figurative language and the American Revolution! Students take on the role of a Loyalist or Patriot to send out a "tweet" about the American Revolution using figurative language. The final product would be a great bulletin board to display student work.
I LOVE this activity, and my students will, too! I am always on the lookout for 21st Century-ish activities that will be of high interest for my students, and tweeting is a great way to help them choose their words carefully. Thank you for your creativity, this activity can easily be tweaked for other concepts or subject areas, and still be just as effective. :)
