This flipbook is an engaging way for students to take notes about the 3 types of consumers. Students find this method much more interesting than traditional paper and pencil, even though it is still paper, merely folded and cut! It could also be used as an assessment after students have completed a lesson about consumers.
Students lift the flap under each word to draw a picture representing each type of consumer and write the definition.
Directions for folding and cutting are included, as well as a possible answer key.

The students loved this activity and wanted to use all sorts of references. Each group focused on a different ecosystem. This was a great activity before the Food Chains and Webs Unit. I have made flip books before, but having this already made and easy to print made my day a little less hectic,especially during report card week. This product is very well made. Thank you.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Subject Area:
I have taught 4th grade in Maryland for 8 years and 5th grade for 1 year. For manyyears, I was departmentalized teaching only Reading/Language Arts and Science. I actually enjoyed teaching grammar and learning about/using the 6+1 Trait method for writing. I also spent 2 years as a science resource teacher working with teachers and students in all elementary grades.
