This is a COMPLETE unit for introducing Geography in a Geography, History, or other Social Studies Course. The unit covers the Five Themes of Geography, Map Types and Purposes, and Using Maps. It introduces or reviews the basic mapping concepts. Includes a complete unit plan, interactive lecture powerpoints with complete teacher notes for each slide (on powerpoint slide screen in bottom screen), student activities, and a Bingo review game. Student activities are cooperative and utilize reading skills, map reading, and investigative abilities. Activities include all resources, including online materials, articles, maps, and charts, and also provided is a student handout or graphic organizer for each lesson activity. Designed for a Geography course as the first unit, but great for the introduction or review of Geography. Used in a freshman course, but easily modified for any middle to high school level. Very multiple intelligences and varied in activities and skill levels.
Unit test is NOT included since a project assessment is used according to plans, but a formal assessment is available here:

If you begin with the Memo to Teachers from the zip file, you will find a general explanation of the unit. It should then guide you to the Unit Plan which includes a 7 day outline with daily bellringers, lesson activities, and exit assessments. Each activity is titled in the Zip file according to the Unit Plan, including the Centers Activities, Unit Powerpoint Notes, and the investigation activities. The review games that are included in the Zip file are not on the Unit Plan, but were included in this package as a bonus. I hope with this explanation, you will be able to find the unit more useful.

After downloading the tests that go with this unit, I really tried to find the answers in your unit. You say to use certain pages in your text book. I'm not only sure that I am not using the same book, but I'm sure others are having the same problems. Somehow you need to provide the information in the unit itself. I just feel that it is an incomplete unit, forcing us to find the information. I'm really sad that this (and the test packet) is useless to me. I was hoping to use this instead of my book to cover the information faster.

I am not sure what you are referring to regarding tests or text references. All of the materials for this unit are in PFD files or on Ppt and are included. In addition, there is not a test for this unit since it comes with a comprehensive project assignment for assessment and there are no text pages in the entire unit, including on the unit plan. Can you check to make sure this is the correct unit you are using?! :)
If you bought the accompanying test, the questions are all application questions, using the skills they are to learn in the unit. The key to the test is at the end with the answers highlighted!

The project did serve as my assessment for this unit. My school also did common assessments for the entire team, but they were more like a quiz, so they were not exclusively mine to include for TpT! :)
