Topics covered are Explorers, 13 Colonies, American Revolution, Westward Expansion, The Civil War, The Industrial Age, World War I, World War II, US Presidents, US Government, and Inventors and Notables. They are suitable for middle school and above, although 5th and 6th graders will probably need modifications such as allowing use of the word list, working with partners, and/or having some answers given before allowing students to complete the puzzles independently.
