A perfect vocabulary activity for older students (middle and high school) because it asks them to identify the words they find challenging rather than telling them the words they are required to learn.
Students are asked to identify a minimum of 10-25 words per section of Scott Westerfeld's novel, "Uglies." A packet of easy-to-use graphic organizers allow students to predict what the word is and write down whether or not their guess was correct.
This download goes hand-in-hand with "Uglies Literature Unit - Vocabulary Activity" that asks students to create an assessment for their classmates using the words they recorded in this packet.
This activity is also available as part of a complete literature unit filled with over 20 high-interest activities, assessments, and more. Please search for the "Uglies Literature Unit!"
