I enjoy working with fractions, but as I teach mathematics at different levels, I find that fractions intimidate many of my students. This is my short introduction to this important topic. It is not meant to replace the many practice sheets that come with so many math curriculums - practice is important to becoming proficient. But, my hope is that it will help clarify some of the confusing parts of fractions that seem to confuse students and teachers alike.
