This product is a simple handout that can serve as a mini-lesson on the Stock Market Crash that led to the Great Depression. To help students grasp the otherwise difficult economic concepts of the Stock Market Crash, this handout tells a story of high school students selling sports tickets to Chicago Bulls basketball games.

Included are vocabulary terms such as: speculation, margin calls, markets, bubbles, recession and depression. This allegory allows students and teachers to discuss the Market Crash of the early 20th century to talk about the fundamental components of market bubbles and crashes with contemporary language.

After the allegory, this product includes some material for review. First, there is a nine-term matching vocabulary quiz. Finally, there are a few open-ended questions for the students to answer. These review questions can be turned in for points or simply used to provoke greater conversation.
