This powerpoint includes examples based on 1st grade Treasures Unit 4, Week 1 grammar lessons - was and were. It has modeling examples and guided practice sentences (sentences have been changed for copyright reasons). So much easier to open the powerpoint and use with projector than to try writing examples on the board while students are waiting. The examples could be used to teach when to use was/were even if you do not use Treasures. My students love to do the guided practice examples in a Mix Pair Share structure - which gets them up and moving.

I saw your posting on the Sellers Forum page of Teachers Pay Teachers; so, I thought I would look at your freebie. I am also from Kansas! :>)
I have a few suggestions that might help you to better market your products. First, add a second page/slide which is a directions or suggestions page. List several ways you use this product in your classroom. Never assume that a buyer knows how, why, or when to use your product. Use the footer to put the copyright symbol, your name and date of creation on EVERY page. Items, especially free ones, have been "stolen" from TPT and posted on other sites to be sold. You have to protect all of your creations. Also, number your pages/slides.
Since you teach primary, I’d appreciate your input on my freebie listed below. I like to get ideas and feedback from a variety of teachers.
